For our client, an important company acting in the medical field, we are recruiting Chief Financial Officer. 

Responsabilities:

Leadership

  • Identifies and drives changes in a future-oriented, solution-oriented and proactive manner
  • Ensures a strong and motivated team by driving the alignment between the team members and the company targets, setting and monitoring of such
  • Drives people development by identifying and coaching talents and ensuring a transparent and participative communication
  • Demonstrates actively and pragmatically holistic leadership principles

Local Management and Steering

  • Develop – jointly with his/her management colleagues – a long-term business strategy for the country, transfer it into tactical plans, strategic initiatives, the annual business plan and budget; monitor achievement and report results
  • Consult the Senior Leadership Team on all financial aspects and risks/mitigation from strategy to operations/tactics; solidify business opportunities from financial perspective
  • Develop state of the art commercial services and financial function to support current activities and future growth and shape the appropriate organizational and operational structures  
  • Lead and drive people development for Commercial Services, especially regarding identifying and coaching talents, and ensuring a transparent and participative communication
  • Establish and promote strong working relationships to Senior Leadership Team as well as counterparts and Business Partners in EMEA functions, especially to function Commercial Services EMEA

Operations

  • Establish/maintain total market and value creating focus of the assigned commercial services, financial and business enabling functions
  • Management of the assigned commercial services departments for the country: Finance, Accounting, IT, Administrative, Purchasing. Strong focus on
    • Setting standards
    • Optimization, automation and continuous improvement of processes
    • Driving technological advantages; e.g., benefits from digitization

Provide integrated financial leadership across business segments and continuously ensure improvement/adaption of financial planning and control

  • Continuously provide recommendations to enhance financial performance
  • Drive the implementation of effective international controls, compliant with current local and international accounting standards and applicable to local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
  • Integrate and continuously develop IT as a strategic business enabler across segments

Legal, Compliance and Regulatory / Risk Management

  • Legally represent the country/sub-regional organization
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, internal business conduct and guidelines
  • Visibly promote compliance standards within the country and area of responsibility
  • Actively manage/mitigate operational and financial risks
