Role: To drive front line maintenance activities, ensuring that the manufacturing team achieve executional excellence in a 100% compliance to the production plan, by minimising engineering downtime. Also, you will be in charge with the effective management and development of multi-skilled engineers, in a rapidly changing technological environment.

Our client is a worldwide leader in the biscuits manufacturing with a global presence. We are seeking a skilled Engineering manager to join their Romanian team. The successful candidate will be responsible to step change the performance and efficiency of existing plant, through continuous improvement techniques and move the engineering maintenance strategy from a breakdown philosophy to precision maintenance, delivering a world class engineering solution.
Job Description
The Engineering manager will lead engineering team to hit Key Performance Indicator targets on: compliance to Planned Preventative and Maintenance schedule, engineering downtime and machine efficiencies, engineering spend, Quality/customer complaints, Health and Safety (no of accidents/control of contractors and permit to work compliance).
-He/she will be in charge with:
-Continuous improvement activities to step change plant performance to hit budget targets, through involvement and support to Area Improvement teams;
-Authorises the purchase of equipment/spares from the Repairs and Maintenance budget;
-Proposal of capital projects;
-Health and Safety - Statutory compliance to legislation and proactive elimination of risks;
-Quality - reduce customer complaints through effective maintenance and continuous improvements;
-Control and plan all weekend engineering activities within budget;
-Develop a Training needs analysis and personal development plan for engineers to increase the skill base;
-Form the link between the projects department and the production team to ensure a seamless handover of capital equipment.
Cerinte:
-Engineering qualification, electric engineering will be an advantage;
-3-5 years experience in Engineering, General Management and Operations;
-Experience in Food Manufacturing with flexibility and understanding of a production environment to a level where one can deputise for the Production Manager;
-Specific understanding of the requirements of Health and Safety Regulations/Legislation directly relating to Engineering;
-Budget Control;
-Experience in Project Engineering will be an advantage.

-Has the ability to work both in a team and individually.
