Our client is a worldwide leader in the biscuits manufacturing that provides iconic brands around the world. We are seeking an experienced and a strong ‘hands-on’ Technical Operations Manager to join its Romanian team.

Job Description

The Technical Operations Manager  will be responsible to develop and manage a site-specific programme of Cost Base Release (CBR), New Product Development and Procurement initiative implementation;

-Deliver sustained improvements in manufacturing process efficiency, consistency and quality at the site, reducing ingredient and packaging waste and reducing energy consumption;

-Enhance Technical competence across site based teams through coaching & training and through the effective leadership, management & development of the site based Technical Operations team;

-Manages a programme of product, packaging and process development initiatives for the site.

Cerinte:

-University degree level qualification in Engineering, Science or Manufacturing  with a High National Diploma in Process Engineering/Food engineering, or an University degree level qualification in Food engineering/Process Engineering;

-Acreditation to Green Belt level in Six Sigma/Lean Sigma is mandatory (Black Belt level in Six Sigma/Lean Sigma will be an advantage);

-Technical experience of biscuit, cake & snacks or chocolate manufacturing, processing & packaging unit operations design & control;

-Experience in a Technical role in another Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company is desirable;

-Demonstrated success in the management and development of Technical teams, implementation of Continuous Improvement and change projects within a food manufacturing environment;

-Working knowledge of HACCP systems, GMP and Quality management Systems (Product Quality Evaluation (PQE) and Process Control), Basic Food Hygiene;

-Systems training: Technical Systems, Microsoft Office, SAP;

-Fluent in English;

Full understanding of relevant Key Performance Indicators for Food Manufacturing operations and Financial understanding (covering factory finances and cross functional activities);

Product and Packaging Assessment (PPA), Point of Purchase Product Assessment (POPA);

-Business processes to manage NPD, CBR and product specification review

-Effective influencing vertically and horizontally across the organisation;

-Excellent presentation skills with the ability to position complex technical challenges to a wide range of stakeholders;

-Knowledge of supplier management and customer management;

-High Performance in understanding & developing behaviours, recruitment and selection, team coaching & motivation;

-Time Management - including delegation;

-Positive attendance management;

-Grievance and disciplinary management
